Introduced the ‘k’ sound and revised the ‘l’ and ‘h’.  These sounds look similar – each with a long stalk.

Gross Motor Activity

Different stations:  hop scotch,  balancing,  running forward between cones,  running backwards between cones,  hopping over rope – then posting pictures into the letter boxes

Perceptual Activity – Auditory skill – Rhyming

Reciting Nursery rhymes – the children liked;  Humpty Dumpty and Jack and Jill went up the Hill

Rhyming Board:  What rhymes with cat    and    pan                                                Does ‘mat’ rhyme with ‘cat’ or ‘pan’

Fine Motor Activity

Each table had a different stencil;  k    l    h    stencil                                                                                             with different mediums – k – chalk and sugar water with sticking a ball to remember the – k – as kicking – l – pencil crayons and making a lamp with different shapes of paper to remember – l – as light/lamp – h – newspaper to make the smoke coming out of the chimney to remember – h – as a house with the long stalk as the chimney.
